“Ryu-ka Seian Toushomen” opens at KIX AeroPlaza: Its first restaurant in Kansai
- 2024-07-17
Kansai Airports is delighted to announce the opening of “Ryu-ka Seian Toushomen” on the third floor of AeroPlaza at Kansai International Airport (KIX) on July 24, 2024.
“Toushomen (knife-cut noodle)” is a Chinese traditional noodle still enjoyed in the historical and cultural city of Xi’an (or pronounced “Seian” in Japanese) and is different from Ramen and Udon.
It is made by a skilled Chinese chef standing in front of a boiling pot of water with dough and a Ushaped knife in hand to shave pieces of the dough directly into the pot. The restaurant only starts knife-cutting noodles upon order, so you can enjoy the chewiness unique to Toushomen.
Its signature and addictive “Spicy Seian Toushomen” gives you the spicy flavor of chili peppers, the numbing heat of Sansho and Sichuan peppers, and a medley of unique flavors of spices. The menu also offers other dishes such as “Seian knife-cut noodle with red fried beef” and “Tianjin fried rice” for children and customers who do not like spicy food. We hope you enjoy the Chinese traditional specialty “Toushomen” in this first-in-Kansai Ryu-ka restaurant!
Kansai Airports Group will continue to develop exciting shops and restaurants to offer more
comfortable and enjoyable travel experiences.
