The Plaza Premium Lounge in Rome Welcomes the move of “Emily in Paris” to Rome for its Fifth Season

The epic response to the hit Netflix series “Emily in Paris” has been phenomenal worldwide. It has been confirmed to be renewed for its fifth season, with the fourth season concluding with Emily’s adventurous move to Rome. This shift has sparked discussions about the show's future location, prompting French President Emmanuel Macron to express his desire for the series to remain set in Paris, emphasizing its role in promoting tourism and the city's image.


As “Emily in Paris” says “Au Revoir” to the City of Lights and “Ciao Roma," the award-winning Plaza Premium Lounge in Rome welcomes passengers flying through the Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport (FCO) with their ongoing “Proudly Local” offerings. Featuring the traditional culinary classics of Rome, signature Italian beverages and cocktails, and warm Italian hospitality.

 

The Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, responded lightly to French President Emmanuel Macron's concerns about the hit Netflix series Emily in Paris moving to Rome for its fifth season. Gualtieri told Macron, “Take it easy; Emily in Rome is perfect,” highlighting that the character's relocation aligns well with Rome's growing significance as a centre of culture.


Savour La Dolce Vita in Every Sip and Bite
The decision to move Emily’s adventures to the Italian capital promises new plotlines and cultural dynamics that synergise with the excitement of showcasing the la dolce vita of Rome. Travellers can enjoy classic Roman delicacies in the Plaza Premium Lounges in Rome, such as the Amatriciana pasta, which is historically a Roman recipe having been first recorded in the cookbook of Francesco Leonardi in 1816, who served it at the court of Pope Pius VII. Enjoy the popular Roman snack "Suppli,” a rustic dish consisting of a ball of risotto with tomato sauce. "Pizza al taglio” is another concept invented in Rome, which translates as pizza by the cut and is now commonly used throughout Italy. These savoury dishes are best enjoyed with an Aperol Spritz or Negroni.
