Flying direct into San Francisco from Melbourne just became a reality thanks to Qantas’ new non-stop service. Qantas’ service will operate four times per week on a 787-9 Dreamliner, adding a combined 98,176 seats to Melbourne both-ways annually. The new route joins Qantas’ additional US Dreamliner service from Melbourne to Los Angeles.
Kansai Airports is pleased to announce that Vietnam Airlines will add daily flights between Kansai International Airport and Da Nang. With this new service, Vietnam Airlines, the flag carrier of Vietnam, will launch its third destination between Vietnam and KIX, adding to the current service to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Melbourne Airport celebrated as Malindo Air’s inaugural service to Bali departed this morning carrying 162 travellers on a Boeing 737-800. Malindo Air is the third airline to service the Melbourne- Bali route, and will operate seven times per week, adding a combined 118,260 seats flying both-ways annually.
Changi Airport Group today welcomed LOT Polish Airlines’ inaugural flight from Warsaw, Poland. LOT operates the service on a Boeing B787-8 aircraft, with a capacity of 252 seats in a three-class configuration.
Indonesia is still the top international leisure destination for Victorians and Malindo Air plans on keeping it that way by introducing a daily non-stop service out of Melbourne Airport.
