Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), an association representing 624 airports, delivered two important presentations at the ICAO Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for Middle East region in Riyadh, highlighting the critical need for enhancing air connectivity and seamlessly integrating Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) into the current air transportation framework.

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) announced that the Passenger Security Charge (PSC), collected by airlines on behalf of AAHK from passengers departing from Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), is scheduled to be adjusted from HK$55 to HK$65 effective from 1 January 2025. Subject to passenger traffic growth and prevailing passenger traffic demand at HKIA, the PSC could be increased in phases to HK$75 from 2027 onwards. The PSC was last adjusted in 2021.
The Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) signed a service level memorandum of understanding with the General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by the Sharjah Airport Police Department, aiming to enhance joint cooperation to identify and develop the level of services and facilities provided to passengers through Sharjah Airport.

Sharjah Airport revealed that the first quarter of 2024 witnessed the arrival of more than 4.2 million passengers and recorded 26,473 flight movements, and transported more than 42 thousand tons of cargo, thereby enhancing its regional position in providing a distinguished travel experience and improving the quality of services for its customers, reflecting positively in the development of tourism and the economy in the Emirate of Sharjah, and promoting its commercial growth.
The five-day May Day Golden Week is over, Macau International Airport (MIA) recorded a total of 908 flights and 109,592 passengers from 1st – 5th May 2024. The peak day occurred on 1st May 2024, with 201 flights and 26,314 passengers.
