The topic of rising airfare trends was one of the focal points of discussions among airport leaders during the Board Meeting of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), hosted by Cambodia Airports, in Phnom Penh.
King Abdulaziz International Airport welcomed the first direct British Airways flights arriving from Heathrow Airport in London. The airline has commenced operations between the two airports with a frequency of six flights per week, providing passengers with additional travel options between the two destinations.
The Three-runway System (3RS) at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is targeted to be commissioned on 28 November 2024. After the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) has acquired the aerodrome licence and the 3RS has been commissioned, all three runways will be operating under the 3RS.
Alstef Group is pleased to announce the successful completion of the new baggage handling system at Princess Juliana International Airport in Sint Maarten. This essential project, part of the airport's comprehensive recovery and modernization plan following the devastating effects of Hurricane Irma in 2017, was overseen by the World Bank. In 2024, Macau International Airport (MIA) has demonstrated robust growth. Over the first ten months of the year, passenger volume reached 6.34 million, marking a year-on-year increase of 56.92%, aircraft movements reached over 49 thousand with 49.37% increase compared to that of the previous year.
