GMR Aviation Academy announces strategic alliance with Aptech Aviation Academy to propel careers in aviation

New Delhi, September 12, 2022: GMR Aviation Academy, the training and education arm of GMR Airports Ltd - a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure Limited, today announced its strategic alliance with Aptech Aviation Academy to empower aspiring aviation students with industry-relevant skillsets and training.
The new programme, offered by this alliance, will be known as ‘Professional in Airport Management & Customer Service’ (PAMCS). The idea is to prepare undergraduate students for careers in airport management and customer service.
This employment-driven programme would create job opportunities for undergraduates in various fields such as Airport Ground Staff, Airport ticketing, Passenger service, Airport security, Cabin crew, Airline customer service, Cargo agent, Load control officer, or Cargo attendant.
GMR Aviation academy is the one of its kind institute in India to have been conferred with the “Regional Training Center of Excellence” stature of ICAO and the “Global Training Hub” by the Airports Council International (ACI). It is also an Authorized Training Center and Accredited Training School of IATA.
Aptech Aviation Academy is one of the well-established brands from the House of Aptech offering aspirants training & skill-based employment-driven courses to the exciting world of aviation, travel & tourism, hospitality, and retail sector.
The Professional in Airport Management & Customer Service programme aims to provide hands-on and in-depth training in all aspects of airport management and customer service right from grooming to operations.
The students joining this programme will have to complete training modules from Aptech Aviation Academy in their respective centres in various parts of the country. After this, they will complete the remaining programme modules from GMR Aviation Academy Campus at Indira Gandhi Airport, Terminal 2 (In front of Departure Gate No 1), including a one-month internship. For the first time, such a skilling initiative is being undertaken in India.
