
HKIAA and IIAC Sign MoU to enhance aviation training in the region

On 17 April 2025 , the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy (HKIAA) and Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Seoul, Korea, signifying their commitment to collaborate with one another to enhance the quality of aviation training in the region.
Signed by HKIAA President Simon Li and IIAC Executive Director Sang-Hoon Yum, this collaboration also signifies a milestone in the domain of aviation training, in which the world’s first two organisations to have received an Airports Council International (ACI)-ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Programme (TPP)-Airport dual recognition, will leverage on each other’s expertise to jointly develop and deliver high-quality training programmes in Hong Kong and Incheon.
By enrolling in the joint programme, participants will be able to acquire knowledge from experienced instructors from both academies as well as airport operations insights from two major international airports in the region.
HKIAA President Simon Li said, “We welcome this opportunity to further solidify our relationship with Incheon Airport Aviation Academy (IAAA), bringing together the expert instructors of our organisation for the advancement of the region’s aviation industry.”
Both HKIAA and IAAA are ICAO TPP Platinum members / Training Centres of Excellence, members of the ICAO TPP Steering Committee, and ACI-accredited Training Partners.
