The topic of rising airfare trends was one of the focal points of discussions among airport leaders during the Board Meeting of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), hosted by Cambodia Airports, in Phnom Penh.

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has commenced two Air Traffic Control Center license courses from February 21 to April 17, 2023. The courses are area control procedural course (ICAO 055) and approach control procedural course (ICAO 053). This marks the first time that MACL is conducting two ATC Rating trainings concurrently, with a total of 12 students, 6 in the area control procedural course, and 6 in the approach control procedural course.
In another industry first Australia’s newest low cost carrier is today leaving its home base on the Sunshine Coast and is heading for Townsville marking the start of regular flights between two of Queensland's favourite holiday destinations.
Sharjah Airport Authority, in partnership with Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) and multinational corporation Huawei, concluded the Promising Generations initiative and celebrated the graduation of the first batch of university students who assisted in devising creative solutions to challenges faced by the airport, leveraging their knowledge and creative concepts. The event was held at SRTI Park headquarters coinciding with the UAE’s Innovation Month, ‘UAE Innovates 2023.’

Mr. Eric Fong, Director of Marketing Department (MKD) of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) and Mr. Edman Lee, Deputy Director of MKD represented to join the forum.
Speaking at the Routes Asia 2023 Powerhouse Panel: State of the Industry, ACI Asia-Pacific Director General Stefano Baronci presented the recovery trends of traffic and cargo in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East region.
