The topic of rising airfare trends was one of the focal points of discussions among airport leaders during the Board Meeting of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), hosted by Cambodia Airports, in Phnom Penh.
It is the announcement Queensland’s tourism industry has been waiting for. China Southern Airlines will fly to Brisbane from China 4 times per week, growing to daily within two years.

Hamad International Airport (DOH) continues its impressive growth in passenger traffic as it records promising numbers in the first half of 2023. The award-winning airport has witnessed an influx of travelers flying to and from Doha with a recorded 33.5% increase in passenger traffic and 18.1% increase in aircraft movements from the same period last year.
Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) has recorded its busiest June on record with more than 658,000 travellers passing through its four airports (Gold Coast, Townsville, Mount Isa and Longreach) throughout the month.
